There are unlimited recreational opportunities in this area. Crivitz is located in Marinette County with over 200 lakes and 2,000 miles of streams, 19 County Parks, 231,000 acres of County Forest Land, the new Governor Thompson State Park and the Peshtigo River State Forest surrounding High Falls & Caldron Falls Flowages. There are 100 miles of ATV Trails and 140 miles of Snowmobile Trails.

Little Paradise Resort is right on the River Road Riders Snowmobile Trails which can take you to Wausaukee, Peshtigo and Marinette. They connect to a vast system of trails that cover all of Marinette County and connect to trails in Oconto County and the Nicolet National Forest as well as the U.P. of Michigan.

Another popular winter activity is cross country skiing, and Marinette County offers several groomed trails just outside of Crivitz and very close to Little Paradise Resort.

Marinette County boasts the most waterfalls in the State, with many of them easily accessable to the average sightseer. A tour map is available. We are also home to some of the finest whitewater in the midwest, with local outfitters operating guided raft trips on the Menominee and the Peshtigo Rivers, both within an hour of Little Paradise Resort.

Fishing is popular on Lake Noquebay any time of year. From pan fish to trophy muskies, we have something to satisfy an avid fisherman. Ice fishing is also popular on the lake.

In the summer the Crivitz Ski Cats, our local waterski team, performs twice weekly right here on Lake Noquebay.

Bring your own outdoor toys or rent them locally. Visit Ski Hut Marine in Crivitz. They offer a wide variety of outdoor sporting equipment for sale and rent, including snowmoibles, boats and motors, and water skis.

ATV Trails
Marinette County offers approximately 130 miles of ATV trails.

Bicycling
The "Menominee River Century Ride" and the "Tour de Colour" bicycling tours are held annually in June and September respectively. "Marinette County Scenic Bicycle Routes" is available by calling 1-800-236-6681.

Country Music Festivals
Lakewood. -Establishing several years ago, this musicfest combines national and local talent.

County Parks
Marinette County maintains 19 county parks, most offering picnic tables, playgrounds, swimming, fishing and hiking.

Dining
There are many fine restaurants in the immediate area to satisfy a variety of culinary tastes.

Fall Colorama
From mid-September to mid-October, come see the north woods aflame with color. Visit the Mountain Fire Tower for a spectacular view from above

Fish Hatchery
Trout rearing station at Thunder Mountain and in Lakewood.

Fishing
Fish right here on Lake Noquebay or explore other nearby spots such as the fly fishing area on the Peshtigo river in the Johnson Falls Area.

Fun Park
The local Vacationland Fun Park offers Go Karts, Bumper Boats, an Arcade, Mini Golf, Bumper Cars and more.

Golf
Area golf courses offer a variety of course layouts with a wide range of difficulty levels.

Hiking Trails
There are a multitide of established trails in the area both in the National Forest and on Marinette County Parks & Forest lands.

Hunting
Our area offers both gun and bow season. Species include white tail deer, bear, wild turkey, grouse, woodcock and small game.

Laona Steam Train
Take a ride through the forest on a historic Steam Train. Fall Color rides are especially nice. Located about 45 minutes NW, just west of Laona on Hwy 8.

Mountain Fire Tower
The lookout tower in Mountain offers a spectacular view of the surrounding forests, especially during fall color.

Museums
The local Historical Society presents the Crivitz Area Museum. Also nearby are the Peshtigo Fire Museum and Logging Museums in Marinette and Wabeno.

National Forest
The Nicolet National Forest borders the western edge of Marinette County, offering unique recreational opportunities to the outdoor enthusiast.

Rustic Road Tour
Parkway Road, Wisconsin Rustic Road #32, winds its way throught the flowage area, ideal for both car and bicycle touring.

Shopping
This area offers an abundance of antique and gift shops as well as art galleries and specialty shops for the avid treasure hunter.

Snowmobiling

State Park & Forest
The Governor Thompson State Park encompasses the southern shore of Caldron Falls Flowage, and the Peshtigo River State Forest covers about 9,000 acres around Caldron and High Falls Flowage.
